Printed records, apparatus for giving. - A recording weighing machine is provided with a table 2, Figs. 1 and 2, adjustable relatively to the recording type and capable of supporting documents 1, such as a manifold delivery note book on which the records may be permanently printed. The book is normally held clear of the type by a frame 18 slidably mounted on the support 3 and depressed by a light spring 19 bearing against a fixed stop 4. To permit the insertion of the book, the table is lowered relatively to the frame against the action of a spring 26, one end of which is attached to a lever 24 to force a catch 24<a> into a recess 25. When the book is in place, turning the lever 24 causes the spring 26 to raise the table until the book is in contact with the frame 18<a>. Stops 28 are provided to locate the book correctly in different positions on the table. To obtain a weight record a handle 20 is raised thus releasing a latch 20<a> and allowing a spring 23 to raise the table with its frame against the type wheels 7, 8, 9, the table then being returned by the light spring 19. Records may be simultaneously printed on a record strip as described in Specification 2690/12.
