Abstract
333,743. Guillissen, J., and Union Chimique Belge, Soc. Anon. Aug. 19, 1929. Insecticides. - The active insecticdal principle of the pyrethrum is extracted for instance by a hydrocarbon such as petroleum ether, the solvent removed by distillation, and the separated extract dissolved in pyridine or ethyl lactate. The pyridine solution may be used for agricultural work and that in ethyl lactate for domestic purposes.
