Abstract

332,546. Nasmith, F., and Jones, H. C. April 19, 1929. Bobbins. - A former for yarn &c., particularly for u s e w i t h knitting- machines, is shaped as a frustum of a small angled cone, the diameter of its smaller end being at least a quarter of the length of the former. The surface is grooved, or roughened to prevent slipping. A cylindrical axial bore with metal bushes 17, 18 receives the spindle which has lugs engaging metal lined recesses 19 in the base of the former. Specification 316,417 is referred to.
