Boxes made from special blanks; strengthening by corrugating; ventilating; fittings, internal.-A carton for eggs &c. comprises a base 5, Figs. 1 and 2, from the edges of which ends 9 and sides 4, 6 are folded up, a lid 7, 8 being integral with the side 6. Flaps 10 on the sides are folded over the ends, and ventilating windows 18 and strengthening corrugations 19 are also provided. A cellular filler is ar ranged within the carton consisting of a central longitudina partition 12 interlocking with a series of cross walls 14 which engage by means of portions 17 with hinged partitions 15 apertured at 16 and adapted to be moved to a vertical position so that the filler can be collapsed. In a modified form the end windows are formed by arranging the ends to extend only partially up towards the top of the carton, the spaces between the inner edges of the flaps 10 and the upper edges of the ends constituting the windows.
