Cables and conductors, processes for making.-In multi-core telephone cables of the type in which different groups of conductors are wound with different pitches, the operating capacities of the various groups are equalized by arranging that those having the longer pitches are fed to the stranding die at greater angles relatively to the stranding axis than the groups having shorter pitches. In the portion of the stranding machine shown in Figs. 3 and 4, a guiding disc S, revolving with the bobbin frame, is provided with holes arranged on circles of different radii r', r<2>, r<3>. Conductors of short pitch are fed to the stranding die V through holes in the guiding disc formed near the stranding axis, the conductors of longer pitch passing through holes more remote.
