Abstract

330,335. Woodman, P. March 27, 1929. Toasting-apparatus.-A toasting device which is placed above a gas or oil burner, comprises a box-like structure 1, a grid 3 for supplying the food, and a sheet of gauze or the like removably fitted at the bottom of the structure 1. The structure 1 is formed of inner and outer parts, the upper edge of the inner part 2 being flanged over, whilst the lower edges of both parts are flanged inwardly to provide a guide for a sliding frame 5, which holds the gauze 6. The grid wires 3 pass through holes in the upper flange to bind the parts 1, 2 together. A handle is provided on the device. The gauze 6 may have stiffened or reinforced edges instead of being held in the frame 5.
