Abstract

326,087. Roberts, F. D. May 3, 1929. Dishes. - A combined butter or margarine dish and melting apparatus comprises a receptacle A and a tray B which occupies, or is adapted to occupy, a position to one side of, and with its edges substantially level with, the upper edge of the receptacle for enabling a portion of butter &c., when placed therein, to be independently heated from a source of heat below the tray and then to be worked into a required consistency. The bottom of the tray may be inclined, as shown, or horizontal; and the tray may be integral with the receptacle and a separate lid C provided. Or the tray may be hinged to the receptacle so that, when not required as a tray, it can be turned over to serve as a lid for the receptacle.
