Alarms operated by expansion of gases, by flowing liquid, and by movement of working parts in extinguishing apparatus; pneumatic alarms. - In a sprinkler system of the kind in which a differential main valve is held closed by byepass water pressure, the pressure is relieved when a valve is opened by the fall of a weighted lever controlled by air bulbs and a separate control piping. The lever, in falling, closes an electric alarm circuit. When the main valve opens, the byepass water flows to an hydraulic motor, which is also fed by water from the neutral chamber of the valve.
