Brackets. - In a lamp, display, or like stand in which an arm D is slidable and rotatable on a vertical stem A, the arm D comprises curved metal strips D', D<2>, formed with holes D<6> for engaging the stem and ornamental scrolls D<3>, D', the spring scroll D<4> being adapted to bear on the stem so as to hold the arm in an adjusted position and be gripped in the hand to release the hold and thereby enable the arm to be adjusted. The scrolls D<3>, D<4> may be secured together by a rivet D<5>. A lamp holder E may be angularly adjustable in a scroll at the outer end of the arm.
