330,013. Slack, J. March 7, 1929. Road signals.-In apparatus for controlling road-traffic at crossings by means of periodically changing lights, a rotating pointer d indicates, by its position relative to a mark e on a dial c, the time to elapse before the red light b changes to the green light b<1> and viceversa, no " caution " light being provided. The signal may change at each halfrevolution of the pointer, the dial being divided into red and green halves. Internal or external illumination may be provided for the dial. In a modification, the pointer is replaced by rings of electric lamps adapted to be successively lighted and simultaneously extinguished with the change of signal. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 316,598.
