Abstract
329,773. Stoves, Ltd., and Richardson, W. H. April 9, 1929. Oven shelves.-Hangers for supporting shelves or grids in ovens are formed wholly of wire rods, and comprise spaced uprights 5, 6, shelf runners or supports 11 extending between them, and guide members 12 each slightly above the corresponding runner to prevent displacement of a shelf transversely through the hanger. In the construction shown, the uprights 5 are also connected by rods 7 having down-turned ends 8 to engage bosses on the oven frame, by which means the hanger may be pivotally supported at either side of the oven. The runners 11 have inwardlybent ends attached to the uprights, so that they extend in front of the plane of the hanger frame. The guide members 12 extend in the plane of the uprights, and have out-turned ends 13 forming stops. The shelf shown inverted in Fig. 4 comprises rods 14 attached to L-section end members 15, the ends 16 of which are upturned to engage the stops 13 on the hanger and so prevent complete withdrawal of the shelf unless it is tilted; any other form of grid shelf may be used with the hangers.
