Records, duplicating; magnetic.- Sound waves are recorded on discs 12, cylinders, or like rotating members by first magnetically recording the record on a wire, band, &c. 3 by microphone 1 and electromagnet 2 and then recording from the band. In so doing, the switch 7 is changed over so that the electromagnet becomes a pick-up magnet and co-operates with another pick-up magnet 8, the distance between the two magnets being adjustable to give an echo effect. A transformer 9 and amplifier 10 are in the final recording circuit.
