783,198. Magnetic reproducing apparatus. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Jan. 25, 1956 [Feb. 11, 1955], No. 4086/55. Drawings to Specification. Class 40 (2). In an apparatus employing two or more closely spaced magnetic transducers for reproducing individual tracks one at a time, the reproduction of spurious signals from a neighbouring track is minimized by reducing the effective reluctance of the transducer in contact with such track to enable said transducer to act as a magnetic keeper. The reluctance reducing means may comprise a negative inductive inpedance connected across the winding and may be provided by an electronic amplifier having a positive feed-back path including a positive impedance.
