327,933. Brewer, G., (Krupp Akt.-Ges., F.). Aug. 12, 1929. Hollow-ware. - A blank bent to a cone with welded seam and flange a<1> is formed into a stepped cylindrical shell, e.g. stainless steel body of a milk can, by drawing only, by a series of punches the first punch having a tapered end D to fit the shell only and a larger cylindrical part D<2> to draw the part a<2>. In Fig. 4 a second punch with cylindrical part E<1> draws the part a<4> to a cylinder. This may also be done by 3 rolls F spread apart by adjustable cones H, J on a rotatable shaft K all acting to roll the metal to the shape of the mould M.
