Abstract

326,154. Jones, H. C., and Nasmith, F. Dec. 4, 1928. Yarns, beaming.-The pivoted arms 13 carrying a, frictionally driven beam 12 are connected to a plate 16 sliding over and adjustably pressed against a pivoted plate 17, whereby movement of the pivoted arms is damped. The warp beam 12, driven by a cylinder 10, is removably held in slots 35 by seating 36 locked by screws 41 engaging notches in the arm 13. A pin 19 in a slot 20 allows the plate 16 to slide or turn, alignment with the plate 17 being maintained by a strip &c. The pressure adjustment is effected by a wing nut 30, rotation of which compresses three springs mounted round pins which are fixed to the plate 17 and pass through a slot in the plate 16.
