Abstract

325,761. Ericson, E. A. R. May 23, 1929. Crops, root, digging and topping machines for. - Beets and like crops are harvested by a hand operated fork 1 the shaft 2 of which is pivoted to a support 9 adapted to rest on the ground. A tread member 4 projects from the. side of the shaft. A curved knife 6 for cutting off the beet tops is adjustably pivoted on the shaft and is actuated through a handle 5. A spring 7 returns the knife to its original position.
