Driving pumps ; fixed-abutment type; discharge and suction pipes and passages; mounting and supporting; strainers. - A liquid-fuel pump and a lubricating - oil pump are combined in a single unit 20 which is so mounted on the sump of an internal-combustion engine that at least the fuel pump is external to the casing 13. The pumps comprise cylindrical chambers 33, 32 respectively in which eccentrically mounted rotors 34 having spring-pressed fingers 36 are rotated by a shaft 17 from the cam shaft 12. The pumps, which are supported by a cylindrical extension 45, may be mounted in a recess in the crank-case, the lubricating-oil pump, in this case, drawing its supply through a pipe within the casing, but, in both cases, delivering the oil through channels 47, 48 to the engine bearings.
