Seats, arrangement and disposition of.-In order to reduce the overall height of a doubledeck motor omnibus or trolley bus with a covered top deck without reducing the head room along the aisles, the lower saloon roof B is constructed in the centre with a step or raised portion H, adapted to carry the upper deck seats S, which are arranged transversely, facing forwardly and of sufficient width to accommodate three persons abreast. The lower portions J', J<2> of the roof B form aisles at each side of the upper deck, and are located above the seats S' of the lower deck A.
