Bedsteads convertible into settees; folding bedsteads ; dropside cots.-A bedstead convertible into a settee comprises head and foot members 1 hinged at 3 to slidable carriers 4 having limited movement under the seat portion, so that they can be lowered and slid underneath the bottom when the device is to be used as a settee. Guides 8, 9 and stops 10 are provided for the carriers 4, and outward movement is limited by the shoulder 4a engaging the upright 7. The head and foot members may be secured in upright position by the engagement of bolts 11 with holes 12. One or more side members may be provided, constructed and moving in a similar way to the end members.
