Feeding and drinking appliances for animals.-A combined manger and water-trough structure has manger elements 1 separated by water-trough elements 2, each water-trough element comprising a main enclosed water cistern 3, supplied' through a ball-valve, and an open water-container 4 in communication therewith. The water-trough elements are supported by members 7 that bridge passages 8 extending between adjacent mangers. The rear of each manger is formed of two wall members 9 engaging with secondary wall members 10, three members forming the base 1 of each manger engaging with both the rear members 9 and with the secondary wall members 10. Each trough 4 is provided with a shield 13 to prevent contamination from the next manger. A main water supply pipe 15 forms a rail at the back of the manger. Each trough 4 is preferably provided with an aperture 17 closed by a plug 18 that may be removed when it is desired to flush out the mangers.
