320,744. Campbell, Achnach & Co., Ltd., Gillan, J., and Garstang, T. Sept. 28, 1928. Materials, special. - A valve for controlling the flow of acids or other corrosive liquids is made principally of ebonite, vulcanite, or similar material and is provided with easily renewable and separate packing and seating members of soft rubber. The soft rubber seating is in the form of a plain circular washer whilst the soft rubber packing 6 is of the shape shown in Fig. 5, and is located by a cage member 5, this also securing the seating. A plurality of seating and packing members of the type described may be employed. The body of the valve may have a reinforcing core of metal.
