Abstract

Moulds.-Large brickwork or concrete wall slabs, which are reinforced with vertical tubes which receive dowels and screws for lifting, are made up on a frame c, Fig. 3, movable on a table 52 and consisting of planks 50 and spacing bars d, e between which the bricks are laid. Metal 'tubes f, restricted at intervals, are threaded through the bricks and held by studs h, and'the joints are grouted with cement. The studs h are mounted on pivoted arms i which are locked by slotted levers 57 and pins 55. The concrete slabs are made in a similar mould frame and are reinforced by a framework consisting of tubes and Z or other section bars.
