Abstract

319,830. Flint, A. W. June 29, 1928. Folding cases; lids.-A suit or like case made of leather, stiff fabric, &c. comprise front and rear walls 1, 2, side, walls 4 creased at 5 to fold vertically midway of their length, a bottom 3 creased midway parallel to the front and back portions and also diagonally at 7 and a cover 9 hingedly attached to the upper edge of the rear wall and capable of being wrapped around the case when folded. The case is collapsed by the folded sides and bottom being brought to lie flat between the front and rear walls and is main. tained in the folded state by the engagement of fastenings 10, 11, provided on the front edge and upper surface respectively of the cover. When the case is in use, tabs 13 on the sides are secured to the studs 11, 14, on the cover and the fastenings 10 on the cover engage fastenings 17 on the front wall to keep the case closed. The front wall carries a handle 15 and a lock 16.
