Abstract
318,773. Ellehammer, J. C. Hansen-. Oct. 13, 1928. Acroplanes; helicopters.-A rotary system of the helicopter type is arranged between the left and right hand planes 1, 2, Fig. 1, and in the lee of a beam 3 which connects the front planes. The space at the rear of the rotors is left open. The beam 3 is of large dimensions vertically. The helicopter unit comprises two propellers 4. 5 capable of being driven in opposite direction when required by known gearing. Either the usual propelling means of the machine is employed to couple up with one or other of the propellers 4, 5 or a separate driving unit may be employed. The bosses 6 may occupy a relatively large part of the diameter of the propellers.
