Abstract

318,059. Garavini, C. E. Nov. 27, 1928. Hoods.-In road vehicles in which the front transverse member of the hood is secured to the windscreen transverse member, levers are provided in the hood transverse members adapted to tension the hood as well as secure it. A lever 4 is pivoted at 5 at each end of hood transverse member 2 and is provided with a hoop-shaped recess 4' adapted to engage a projection 6 at each side of the windscreen. A- rotary movement of the lever about the pivot 5 tensions the hood and is secured by retaining the lever in the vertical position by some such means as a transverse lateral projection 4" on the end of the lever entering in recesses 3<1> in the windscreen upright 3.
