Abstract

Drawer-and-shell cases; contents, facilitating access to. - A drawer-and-shell case or carton comprises a member h disposed between the shell n and drawer a and one or more flexible members m enfolding the intermediate member h and having its ends secured to the drawer and shell so that when the member h is pushed out of the shell, the drawer a is projected approximately double the distance the member h is moved. The drawer a has an open front and sides and the member h has an open front, a lug t on the back panel of the drawer engaging a slot r in the back panel of the member h to prevent the drawer falling forwards in the open position. The flexible members m pass through slots k in the sides of the member h and one end of each member is secured to the outside of the bottom panel of the drawer and the other end to the outside of the shell. The front panel of the shell may have a tongue which coacts with the edges of the upper flap of the drawer to prevent it being projected from the wrong end of the casing.
