Abstract

315,565. Boase, W. H. July 11, 1928. Tipping wagons in which the tipping-apparatus may be readily stripped from the truck, have the rails 2 on which the tilting-platform 11 rolls mounted on a sleeper frame 3 which is detachably secured to the body of the truck by means of a yoke. This yoke is flanged at one end 5 for engaging round the side member 6 of the chassis and the other end is provided with a clip 7 which fits round the opposite side member of the chassis. The tilting-platform is fitted with channel irons 12 curved at one side for rolling on the rails 2. Pins 13 are fitted in the crowns of the rails, which pins engage slots in the curved rockers and so prevent slipping of the rocker along the rail.
