Cooling fish. - The freezing- chambers 8, 9, 10 of a fish freezing-plant for use on board ship are of graduated sizes corresponding to the cases 11, 12, 13, Fig. 2, in which the fish is packed. By this arrangement, the brine circulating through the chambers cannot pass between the walls of the chambers and the cases which, when not in use, can be nested together. The brine is circulated from a, tank 14 through cooling-tanks 1, 2 packed with ice, the freezing-chambers and a salt container 5 back to the tank. After freezing, the cases can be stored in the ice and salt storage spaces in the ship. Specification 307,895 is referred to.
