Abstract

Skates.-A roller skate has a main roller b under the instep and auxiliary rollers c, d, in line with the main roller but on a higher level, these auxiliary rollers being carried in forked brackets e moving about pivot pins f so that these rollers can move in a horizontal plane to follow the curve in which the skate moves. In a modification, Fig. 3, each auxiliary roller is mounted loosely on a spherical hub h, in turn mounted on a shaft g in the fork e. The main roller b is' adjustable on the foot plate a, it being mounted in a forked bracket l, Fig. 5, having horizontal extensions o which engage side edges of a slot n in the foot plate. An extension m of the bracket has a slot r for engagement by a single clamping screw p.
