Abstract
312,582. Chemische Fabrik vorm. Sandoz. May 26, 1928, [Convention date]. Samples furnished. Monoazo dyes are made by combining diazotized monoaminoaryl sulphamides of the general formula NH2-Aryl-SO2N-#<R1>R2 , wherein Aryl represents an aromatic residue of the benzene series containing hydrogen or substituents other than the nitro group in p-position, and having no carboxy group in o-position, to the diazotizable amino group, and R, and R2 are identical or different alkyl-, aryl- or aralkyl-radicles substituted or not, with 1-sulpho-aryl-5-pyrazolones and their derivatives or with 2:8: 6-aminonaphtholsulphonic acid in acid solution. In examples, (1) 1-amino-3-sulphonethylanilide (obtained from mnitrobenzenesulphochloride monoethylaniline and reducing) is diazotized and coupled with 2 : 8:6-acid; (2) 4-amino-1-methylbenzene-2-sulphonethylanilide (obtained from 4-nitro-1-methylbenzene-2-sulphochloride. monoethylaniline, and reducing) is diazotized and coupled with 4<1>- sulpho-2<1> : 5<1>-dichloro- 1 -phenyl- 3 -methyl- 5 - pyrazolone. Yellow to red shades are obtained on wool or silk. Specifications 164,218 and 279,146 are referred to.
