Fixed-chamber apparatus.-In a machine for filling bottles liquid is fed from a tank 2 to measuring taps 14 with operating levers 24 actuated simultaneously by cams 34 and a shaft 36 driven by a belt 43. The plugs of the taps may be arranged so that some of the chambers 15 are filled while others are emptied. 'The bottles are supported by resilient holders 48. Strainers 21 are fitted to the measuring taps. The supply to the tank 2 is controlled by a float-valve 13. The measuring taps comprise a chamber 15 with a cock plug 17 having a transverse port 20 and an axial port 21.
