Abstract
310,186. Marks, E. C. R., (American Cyanamid Co.). April 26, 1928. Grant of Patent refused. Alkyl and aryl thiophosphates are formed by the reaction of phosphorus pentasulphide or other sulphide of phosphorus and alcohols or phenols. Di-isopropyl-dithiophosphate may be obtained by treating isopropyl alcohol with phosphorus pentasulphide. The products may be reacted with metal hydroxides or salts, particularly of alkali or alkaline earth metals, or amines, forming metal or ammonium salts, or aniline, toluidine, or other amino derivatives.
