Abstract
309,460. Bartlett, A. J. Jan 5, 1928. Folding seats; adjustments; seating-surfaces, attaching; rests, leg.-A device adapted to be used alone as a seat, or to be used in conjunction with a seat to form a leg-rest, comprises one or more pairs of legs having frames pivoted thereto at the same end of the legs, means being provided to hold one or more of the frames in a predetermined position relative to said legs. Fig. 1 shows such a device arranged as a chair, and comprising serrated legs a, b held in position by pivoted struts g and carrying pivoted frames m, n held in angularly adjusted position by struts q, r. The fabrics seating w is detachably secured to the crossbar o, its other end carrying a crossbar x, the ends of which rest on the sides of the frame n. Fig. 2 shows the device arranged to form a leg-rest. Fig. 4 shows a modification having only one pair of legs 2, 3, which legs are provided with adjustable extensions 8, 9.
