Discharging and feeding devices for endlesschain conveyers; parallel rails and pushers on endless chains. - Articles such as skins or fabrics are continuously moved on straining- frames through a closed treating-chamber, on tracks by endless conveyers, and the skins are changed while the frames are moved on a track by a separate conveyer in an antechamber. Pins 43 on the conveyers 8, 22 engage lateral arms 42<a> on the straining frames 42 supported by parallel guide, rails 41 on the chamber walls. The frames with skins attached in the antechamber 18 are transferred from a conveyer 22 to a conveyer 8 in the treating chamber by guide rails 44 with inclined surfaces 44<a> over which the pins 43 lift the frames and with a recess 44<b> in the path of the pins of the next conveyer. End conveyers 32, 33 with short and long pins 43 in pairs transfer the frames to upper and lower tracks of conveyers 8, 22. The conveyers are moved at different speeds, each moving a distance equal to that between the pins in the same time, by an electric motor 45 with a belt 46, clutch 47, cones 48 and worm wheels 51. The drive is taken from a transverse shaft through speed changing gearing and shafts to the conveyers. The tension of the conveyers is adjusted e.g. by sprocket jockey pulleys 11 with chain tensioning devices 13, or by tensioning devices 40.
