Trays, moving.-A machine for supporting confectionery while drying comprises an endless conveyer travelling in a number of horizontal runs, a series of trays or carriers attached to the conveyer, and means for maintaining the trays in a horizontal position both when travelling along a run and when being transferred from one run to another. The apparatus consists of a framework supporting chain conveyers which travel in upper and lower runs 31, 33 respectively, a series of intermediate runs for lowering the carriers from the upper to the lower runs, and a series of runs 37 for elevating the carriers, so that the carriers travel in a closed circuit. The carriers or trays 23, Fig. 3, are pivoted at 27 to the chains 21, and are provided with corner bosses 93 which engage tracks or guides 95 and thus keep the trays in an horizontal position. The means for keeping the trays horizontal when transferring from one run to another consists of crescent-shaped members 99 pivoted on pins 101 and curved plates 105.
