Waste liquid, catching and returning.-The waste beer from the trough 7 passes through the strainer 25 into the return lead 5, and from thence into the main supply pipe 4 when the valve 9 is open. The valve is controlled by the indicating handle 13 on the pump frame. Non-return valves are fitted in the main supply and waste return pipes, and a draw cock 19 is also fitted in the latter.
