Abstract

308,653. Kalle & Co. Akt.-Ges. March 24, 1928, [Convention date]. Diazotypc processes. - A layer is developed after exposure with a solution containing an azo coupling component and borax, disodium phosphate, or alkaline bicarbonate. The diazo-compound used, which should be capable of coupling quickly in alkaline solution, may be the diazocompounds of aminodiphenylamine, aminocarbazol, dianisidine, and derivatives thereof, or the diazo compounds described in Specification 234,818. The developer may include agents which assist the uniform spreading of the solution over the base, or compounds which increase the stability of the copies and their fastness to light, and may be applied as by a wad of cotton wool or in a machine. Examples are described of developing solutions containing various combinations of #-naphthol, phloroglucine, resorcin, borax, disodium phosphate, and thiourea.
