Wire, fabrics.-In sieves for draining, wet and dry separating, dressing plants, etc., of the kind in which the separate bars or wires a, Fig. 1, are provided with loops b connected by bars c, the loops are secured together by welding d, Fig. 3. The loops may be of round, oval, or triangular shape. In a modification, the loops are reduced so that the aperture disappears as in Fig. 7, the connecting cross-bars being dispensed with. Where strengthening bars e, f, Fig. 6, are incorporated in the sieve structure, these are welded to the loops.
