Low-pressure metallic-vapour apparatus.-In copying kinematograph films, a vapour lamp is placed near the exposure aperture and the light thread is deflected towards the copying area by a magnetic field. Electromagnets adjacent and fixed to the exposure aperture, which may be moved for adjustment, are preferably used. A quartz vacuum resonance lamp R containing a drop of mercury is fitted between the lamp d and the copying area. c. The lamp R has its side ground flat and is pressed against the films by springs. The vapour lamp d may be formed with a cooling jacket. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that a rotary magnetic field may be used to deflect the light thread. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
