R÷ntgen-ray apparatus.-Relates to an X-ray apparatus of the kind which includes a hightension generator, a transformer for supplying current for heating the cathode of the tube, and means for regulating the potential of, and the current supplied to, the tube, the regulating- device being usually built on a separate control desk connected to the high tension installation by a cable. According to the invention, the regulating-device is actuated by an electric motor of other electromotive device, and the regulating- device and its motor are mounted in or upon the casing of the high-tension installation. By this means, the leads connecting the regulating-device and the high-tension transformer are made short and free from harmful potential drop, and the cable between the high-tension installation and the control desk 4 consists of relatively thin leads. The desk 4 carries a. switch 7 for the control motor 8, a reversing switch 9, and instruments 5, 6 for measuring the current and the potential of the tube. Other known devices for remote control of the installation may be mounted in the desk 4, The motor 8 may be replaced by an electromagnetic step-by-step device.
