305,877. Janes, P. April 23, 1928. Addition to 283,975. Mixing-apparatus; spreading liquids. -- An apparatus for producing an intimate mixture of several media as described in the parent Specification has a running wheel w provided with a single set of blades 5; the gaseous medium enters the wheel through the openings y while the liquid and pulverulent media are drawn from the container 14 through the suction pipe 28. The mixture passes across the annular corrugations 9<1>, 9 and leaves the wheel by the annular discharge opening z. A stationary deflector s of porous material causes the larger particles in the mixture to collect on the flange 26 of the container 14 from which they pass again into the container. The suction pipe is detachable and may be replaced by another of different size. Vertical channels 36 are arranged in the container in order to increase the air supply. An annular reservoir 30 is arranged round the motor 1 and is connected to the container 14 by a pipe 32. A float 33 operates a valve 34 to maintain a constant level in the container. With a number of machines on the same level, one reservoir and one governing valve will supply and control the fluid for all.
