Abstract
303,589. Scarborough, J. T. Oct. 18, 1927. Stocking - suspender grips comprise a wire frame 1 on the lower end of which is pivoted a plate 3. The edge of the hose 5 is placed over the free end of the plate 3 which is then pressed through the frame to retain the hose frictionally. The plate 3 may be of rigid material such as metal and of slightly smaller dimensions than the frame or of flexible material such as rubber and of slightly larger dimensions than the frame. Return of the plate 3 through the frame may be positively prevented by a, pivoted plate 4 adapted to engage behind the upper end of plate 3, and itself having lugs 4<a> which prevent it from being pulled through the frame. In a modification, Fig. 5, the frame is pivoted to a plate 7 which itself serves as a stop to prevent return of the lower plate 9, and the plate 9 comprises two faces of metal having a protruding piece of rubber 10 clamped between them.
