Abstract

303,063. Fermin, B. A. Dec. 27, 1927, [Convention date]. Spring surfaces.-The end convolutions of upholstery springs 3 are secured to a covering fabric 5 by strips 9 of material lying on the opposite side of the fabric and to the springs and passed at intervals into and out of holes 8 in the fabric surface so as to enclose part of the end convolution of the spring or springs lying beneath the hole. The holes may be eyeletted and the ends of the strips clipped to the edges of the fabric, the clips 14, if desired, serving to hold a stiffening rod 15 at the edges of the spring surface thus formed.
