Tyre covers, making. - In building a tyre cover, the tread 20 is applied as a complete annulus over the shaped casing 25, which is first collapsed by connection to a suction-device 27, to facilitate assemblage of the tread band, after which the casing is expanded by connection to a pressure-supply 29 and the band rolled down by the usual means. Figs. 5 and 6 show the casing in its collapsed and expanded condition respectively.
