Abstract

302,056. Heaton, J. H. Dec. 17, 1927. Addition to 285,711. Folding mangles and wringers.-The catches a, a<1> for holding the turnover frame A in inoperative and operative positions respectively, as described in the parent Specification, by engaging a projection C on the turnover frame are linked together as by links a<5>, a' pivoted at 2a wherebv the catches can be operated simultaneously. A lever k pivoted to the stationary frame B prevents retraction of the catch a<1> when the machine is in the operative position until after it has been swung to the dotted line position, Fig. 5. The catches are disengaged from the projection C against the tension of springs d, d<1>. According to the Provisional Specification the connecting link may be provided with a handle or knob.
