Abstract

301,993. Lea, J. C. Chater-. Sept. 29, 1927. Tension arrangements. - To adjust an eccentric bearing housing B for regulating chain tension on cycles &c., the crank is temporarily connected, as by a pin F, and used as a lever to rotate or hold the necessary part or parts. The pin may engage holes in both the crank and the part to be adjusted, or it may engage a hole in one part and and abut against the other part or against a lug or extension carried thereby, as shown in Fig. 4. The securing means, such as a lock nut, may be similarly actuated. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1025/97, [Class 12, Bearings &c.].
