Connecting-rods.-In a piston and connecting-rod attachment of the type in which a steel block 5 carried by a frame 4 rolls on the gudgeon-pin 2, an adjustable abutment member 6 being also provided, the frame is formed with spherical or cylindrical surfaces 8 engaging cylindrical or flat surfaces, respectively, in the piston, in order to prevent slip between the block 5 and the gudgeon-pin. The centre of the surfaces 8 may be at the point of contact a of the block and the gudgeon pin in the middle position of the connecting-rod, or at such a distance above the point a that the centre again lies in the axis of the piston in the extreme positions of the connecting-rod.
