301,744. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Evans, L. W.). Dec. 2, 1927, [Convention date]. Protective arrangements. - An electric protective discharge device of the type having a column of resistance pellets 9 in series with the spark gap is provided with a hollow electrode 12 having a flange 13 resting upon the porcelain member 8, the electrode projecting below the rim of the flange and fitting into a metal tube 16 within the member 8. The casing 3 engages the flange 13 and the parts are cemented together at 15.
