301,466. Aktiebolaget Separator. Nov. 30, 1927, [Convention date]. Oscillating mixers.-A device for cooling milk &c., of the kind in which the containing vessel is given an oscillating movement about a vertical axis while immersed in a cooling medium, comprises a motor having a reciprocating movement to the vessel through rack &c. gear. In the form shown, the motor comprises a pneumatically-operated reciprocating piston working in a cylinder F and fitted with a rack E in engagement with a pinion D on a rod C on which the vessel A is suspended. In a modification, the cylinder is curved and the piston is connected to the rod C by a radial arm; or the reciprocation may be produced electrically by a solenoid and core with a current-reversing device.
