Abstract
300,967. Malderghem, Y. van. Nov. 20, 1928. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 21, 1928]. Springs, arrangement of.-Each of the wheels of a motor or like vehicle is connected independently to the frame by transverse parallelmotion linkwork also forms part of the suspension connections between the wheels and the springs disposed towards the centre of the frame. The parallel-motion linkwork for each wheel consists of two parallelograms spaced apart in front of and behind the wheel axis, the inner vertical members 15 being secured to the side frames 16, while the outer vertical members consist of a plate 20, which, in the case of the steering carries the vertical steering pivots 23. The upper links 11, 11' of the steering- wheels are connected to the. forward ends of the leaf springs 5, 10 by shafts 12 and arms 24. The ribbed links of the driving wheels are similarly connected, but without the shafts 12 to the rear ends of the springs 5, 10. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also describes a cruciform arrangement of the use of a triangle, a T-iron, or other amalogous arrangement instead of the parallel-motion linkwork, and the application to vehicles having three or six wheels and to landing carriages of air craft. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
